KROMI Slovakia: A ground-breaking KROMI location
The foundation of KROMI Slovakia s.r.o. in 2005 marked the start of KROMI’s expansion into Eastern Europe
KROMI has also been present in Slovakia with tool management solutions for over 15 years. In the person of the long-standing machining expert and engineer Bruno Hausner, KROMI was already able to engage a committed partner to handle the difficult Eastern European market during its start-up period. While Hausner initially did most of his work from his home office, the growing demand for tool management solutions on-site soon made it necessary for him to expand in terms of both space and staff.
With his son Bruno Hausner jun., Jaroslav Barancik and Jozef Minarovský, three further machining experts started up in 2005 as sales representatives, and Stanislava Šovcíková took over the sales activities in the office. With a new office in Prievidza, there was then no stopping the further expansion of the customer base in Slovakia. Companies such as Lindenmaier Slovakia, Danfoss and Sauer Danfoss had already implemented the idea of tool management at their main plants in Germany with the help of KROMI‘s logistics solutions and they now wanted to adopt the concept for their Slovakian locations. To further attract new customers, the Slovakian team also participated for the first time at the International Engineering Fair MSV in the Slovakian city of Nitra in May 2006.
This bore fruit, with companies such as Bonfiglioli, Brovedani and Secop subsequently ensuring further growth for the company. In the wake of this success, the number of staff was further increased: Jana Sányová joined the office sales team, Michal Letko enhanced the sales force, and Jan Ryban and Martin Helbich started work in 2008 as KTC dispatchers. At the same time the company also moved to a larger office. At the end of 2012, Bruno Hausner jun. officially took over management of KROMI Slovakia from his father. With Martina Krcíková and Juraj Krcek as new members in back office, there are now ten employees to ensure a smooth supply of cutting tools to customers in Slovakia.
